The notion some women express is that if the guy wants his partner to be willing to taste or swallow his cum, he should prove his willingness to do the same himself, by accepting the snowball--turnabout is fair play, etc. I feel this turns sex into some kind of trial or examination, which I don't think is in the right spirit.
Also, I think the idea of tasting cum is more attractive (at least for guys) when they're highly aroused, than 3 seconds after they've had an orgasm. So I'd guess dealing with the cum may be easier for the bj giver than the receiver. Although (when I've tried it) the actual taste of cum isn't bad, going through with tasting one's own after a j/o takes considerable determination and is not at all exciting. It's easy to lose interest and change your mind just after you've cum--I did that several times before managing it and other guys have described the same thing when the subject of self-tasting has come up before.
