Frankly I'm not sure a tazer would be overly effective - especially if the thing's biting you since you'll get the shock too, and I guarantee your body is a lot more fragile than the pit bull's. I'd frankly rather have to fight a guy with a knife than to have to go up against an angry pit bull. At least with the knifer I have a chance.

Disclaimer: Yes, I know, many pits are very sweet dogs who wouldn't hurt a fly. That's nice. I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the one who wants my arm as a souvenir.
Welcome to LA. The majority of the dogs in the animal shelters are pitbulls and rotweillers, all on death row. It's absolutely insane. These poor dogs were mistreated to the point where they are a hazard. Personally, I blame the rap videos for promoting this gangsta macho image that makes pitbulls and rotweillers a must have accessory for the urban man.

Ironically, the upper-class Brentwood professional is the one I am having trouble with. They all seem to think their pitbulls and rotweillers are children and treat them accordingly. One asked me if I knew a good doggie therapist because she wanted to put her little "boo bear" on doggie prozac. Another was convinced that her doggie was depressed and needed zoloft. My favorite, the lady who was telling me her doggie had ADD because he had trouble paying attention to anything except food and sniffing around. The kicker, apparently there is doggie ritalin. With people like this, is it really surprising that they would walk around with their doggies off leash or worse, push them in strollers (I have seen this) and then their dogs become aggressive and attack others? The worst part is, most of these people ARE lawyers (and doctors, entertainment people etc.).

*sigh*
