from an older brother who has two younger brothers, but no sisters, i don't think i would confront them with something like this, especially because you're the oldest. it's hard for the elder to know how they think of you -- there's probably some pretty heavy stuff involved -- so the anonymous thing let's you alert the person (for their benefit) while protecting how they think of you
