Actually, I'd heard it was once every four to seven seconds for men (I think five). And once every 17 for women.
Um, remember, it's not like this happens once every five seconds. But in an hour stretch of time, four to seven minutes are spent thinking about sex. Or average it out over days/weeks if you wish.
Seems pretty darn accurate to me, and there are -many- exceptions to the rule. In both directions.
