My brother has Windows 2000 Pro installed on his system and has a similar problem where the first quicktime video plays ok but the second displays a green screen while the audio plays ok. I did a google search for 'quicktime "green screen"' and found a couple references pointing at a problem with video drivers or the O/S. The recommendation that worked for my brother was to open the settings tab for display properties, click advanced, click the troubleshooting tab and lower the acceleration slider until video worked. It worked for him after he got as far as turning off direct draw support.
