I had always heard that spicy and chocolate went well together but before tonight had never really tried it. Well let me say that I think I was missing out BIG TIME. I just made some hot chocolate and put a dash of cinnamon and a dash of sweet chipotle pepper on it, and it is my favorite non-alcoholic beverage of all time! It's definitely not something I would chug down even with a very high tolerance for hot (my dad grew Scotch Bonnets hotter than most halepenos when I grew up) but it's an unbelievably good sipping drink. If you haven't tried the combination before, and are not afraid of a little heat, I strongly suggest you try it.
