Before Chicago passed the smoking ban, I made it a point not to go to restaurants or bars that didn't have the ventalation system to handle the smoking. Why is it so hard for you to go outside for your fix? As far as I'm concerned, smoking in a restaurant, bar or other public venue makes you selfish and lazy - there's no reason that you can't go outside considering that's where you came from. Putting aside the health hazards, your choice to smoke indoors in a public venue is tatamount to farting in public. They both stink and its difficult to get away from either one.
