i've had mine for 3 years. i personally did it because i thought it "eccentuates" my flat tummy (back then). its a little on the untoned side now, but i still have it. i don't show it off like i used to but there's hope that one day, my tummy will look "nice" again. as for what i've heard about belly button rings from the guys that i know... girls that wear belly chains and have belly button rings are "freaky deaky." and i have to say, yep, thats me (but you won't know unless you're in my bedroom---). the REAL true slutty girls just give belly button rings a bad name because they are raunchy. its all in the 'tude.
