No, you didn't read a single thing too much into that. The first thing I thought when I read the headline (keep in mind that I'm 21 here) is "dern teenagers." That's precisely the reaction they were looking for in the headline, and they got it.
Of course, after reading the article, the only thing I know for sure is that I won't trust a word that paper says any more. It may be a small detail, but it's a flatout lie in the title. That speaks volumes about the integrity of the editors.
Not that I trust much of the media anyway...
