I know how dogs entertain one another, but I suppose I've always been better with one. Two or more bring out the ADD in me even before they team up. Still, I'll think about it. If he shows dependency symptoms it could change my mind.
My reading last night points to the usual boredom problems. If it were a cat I'd build a jungle gym. What kinds of things might work well in a yard beyond the usual rawhide & neighbor's kitty chewtoys? (yes, that's humor) The last thing I want to do is put him on a run and leave.
BTW, thanks for the encouragement guys. Like I said, it's been quite a while since I took care of a dog more than briefly. And they were mostly idiots.
