Please explain how it's trolling, just because it's me, doesn't mean it's trolling. There's more to think about than just making it legal, these are just questions that went a different path than your "Hey, look how bad alcohol is". If your serious about making it legal, you should start thinking about the implications of it, and how much gov involvment would be required in this tax cesspool your so anxious to create.

My response had nothing to do with who you are but if it makes you feel better that I'm out to get you than go right ahead and think it was all about me sticking it to you.

"There is no such thing as 'bad shit'. Besides, if there were it would be like any other tainted consumable, the manufacturer is responsible and possibly the seller."
Apparently I've had more experience with pot than you, there is "bad shit". How's it feel to be "uninformed"? (shit, that's gonna come back to bite me in the ass)

I smoked pot nearly every day from 1995-2003 and I never once had any so-called 'bad shit' and neither did any of the people I knew. Just what are you referring to? Laced weed? Laced weed is more of an urban legend than anything. On the rare occasion that another substance is added, the seller wants to take credit for it because it can sell for more. Is a corporation or a reputable grower going to lace a legal product with an illegal substance? I doubt that.

"How about the person who made a concious decision to use a substance that may be hazardous and that's it?"
I couldn't agree with you more. I assume you disagree with all the tobacco lawsuits in recent years? Funny how the dangers of smoking pot is all about personal responsibility (cause they're real responsible people), and McDonalds now has quite the salad selection.

Damn right I disgree with it, although I could almost give a small pass at those who started smoking cigarettes before we all knew they were harmfull, still its their freaking fault for not quitting. With obesity, diet and lack of physical activity are choices. I'm not going to feel bad for someone who is having health problems because they are obese.
Furthermore, smokers can opt to use a vaporizer in lieu of traditional methods. A high quality vaporizer allows the user to get all of the effects while minimizing the inhalation of harmfull chemicals.

"Who really cares? Growing for sale would be regulated just like any other agricultural product."
It's been argued here there won't be a black market for it. Do you think these guys are gonna up and quit? Do you think these guys are gonna be "regulated"?
|
Initially, no, but that will change over time as long as commercial growing is allowed. Also, nothing prevents them for starting their own business growing and selling pot (hint, they might be doing that already).

"In case you don't know, the THC level CAN be measured."
By who? You gonna leave that up to the government, they certainly have nothing better to do? Are you gonna trust those already in control of the industry?
|
Does it really matter who does it? Hell the THC content will be a marketting tool if anything so they will not understate the amount. If anything, stronger is less harmfull since you don't have to injest as many harmfull substances.

"I have NEVER experienced a 'contact high' despite being in close proximity of other people smoking."
Congratulations, I have. And Stevo, we used to have fans turned backward blowing smoke out through paper towel roles filled with bounce out a crack in our window. You could smell that shit (and no, not the bounce), 2 blocks away if you were in the right place. I wouldn't want my kids playing next door to that.
|
Please consider the physical laws that govern diffusion dynamics when talking out of your ass about being able to smell people smoking pot from two blocks away (about two football fields). Odor detection thresholds are on the order of a few parts per billion for most substances.

And the "my body my choice thing" means nothing to me. I can't walk into a pharmacy, throw money on the table and point and say "give me that cause it's there, and i want it."

It's about intended use, risk of overdose, likelyhood of overdose, and possible negative effects of an overdose.
