even better is to get a can of compressed air from a computer store, turn it upside down, and shoot the goo with it. It'll freeze the goo quite nicely without getting melted ice all over the place.
And next time, throw the duct tape away. That stuff is junk. Use gaffers tape. Same uses, much more durable, and won't leave sticky crap all over the place.
