GWAR is a great "kitschy" band. They do put on a great show (when they really, really try). I say kitschy because, by itself, the music is a little ... hmm. But live they're great.
A lot of the heavy, industrial types (Skinny Puppy, KMFDM, Ministry, GWAR etc.) did/do "stream of consciousness" lyrics.
