It is pretty good, and I like the idea. They took some liberties with what would (or should) happen in the wake of a nuclear blast if they had been experts on nuclear radiation survival. One of the first things is that the water would be pretty radioactive after the rains would have drained into the rivers and lakes. Don't go around them. Then they should be wearing dust masks and rinsing off clothes/plastic rainjackets before entering into buildings. Plus they should take off their shoes before going into buildings. They should be sleeping in the shelters or basements and only spending as little time outside as possible (not having a bar-b-que outdoors...) And I wonder why the EMP wave from the nuclear blast didn't fry their electronics (cars, LCD TVs, radios,...). I would think that an enemy would know about detonating a bomb about 300km over Kansas to take out any non-sheilded electric device pluged in.
But, overall it is a good show and makes you think about what you would do if you were in that situation.*
*rule #1 - Fill up every container you can find with water as soon as possible. The water will be radioactive for weeks once the fallout mixes into it.
