Partially true on the phone, and true on the leech, a leech is just some one else using your connection with out your permission.
Most wireless networks run on 2.4 GHz, (802.11 b/g) if your phone operates in the same range, it can cause interference, but it’s uncommon. The other wireless networks (802.11a) run at 5 GHz, if your phone runs at 5 GHz, then you could also have issues. If you are in one of these 2 groups, try changing the channel the router uses, for 802.11b/g use channel 1 6 or 11, they don’t overlap with any of the other 8 channels.
To stop them, encrypt your network with a password, since you don't know what I’m talking about, I’ll start from the beginning. connect your computer physically to the router, take a small pin, and press the reset button on the router for 10 sec, unplug the router while still pressing, wait 5 sec, then plug it back and continue to hold the reset button got another 30 sec, then let go. This performs the majority of hardware resets to most linksys routers. Since your router has been exposed for so long, the leech may have made changes to the router to suit there needs. after it is reset, connect to it, open a web browser and in the address bar, type 192.168.1.1 and press enter, it should come up with a username and password box, enter 'admin' as the password (no quotes) this is the default password for linksys routers. You should have a wireless tab, under that there should be a security tab. that’s as far as i can get you, I don’t have a linksys router to find the rest of the steps...
Some one with a linksys that knows what’s going on, that'd be great if you can take over.
