Something I used to have hanging on my wall to point to whenever discussions of tech turned religious:

Even though you find <blah> psychologically challenging, it's important to your business. Other people find it useful and you will keep running into it.

When personally challenged I'd buckle down and spend a few nights on little projects until things flowed more easily.

When you get older you can look back and jeer, much like I do with Pascal.

The propaganda that inundates them is effective when unchallenged, but much of it goes only skin deep. If they can be brought to raise questions and apply their decent instincts and basic intelligence, many people quickly escape the confines of the doctrinal system and are willing to do something to help others who are really suffering and oppressed." -Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media, p. 195
