Walk off 350 cals of energy a day and you'll lose about 3/4 pound per week, or 3 pounds a month, or 35-40 pounds a year, for the average somewhat overweight couch potato. A very achievable and worthwhile goal, and often easier for some people than cutting the equivalent number of cals from their diet.
IIRC, it's about 2 Pepsi's worth.
