I've got a stickshift hyundai elantra thats treated me alright. its a 2003 with 60k miles. no problems at all with it. they also make a hatchback version (extra room for camping gear). its got alot of headroom, so your height wont be an issue.
you could always get a cruiser bike with a trailer!
