"The wire" on HBO
All that I can say is that this show is amazing. I hadn't heard of it until recently, though it is already in its fourth season. Right now, I'm listing it as the best show on TV, and possibly up there with the best of all time. That's highly subjective though, so who knows.
It's a continuous storyline, which I love far more than episodes that barely have anything to do with each other. The writing is fantastic, from characters that I fell in love to tons of dark humor. It's gritty, and far more real than anything else on TV, though that's not saying much about how real it is compared to real life. I've only grown up in rich suburbia, so I wouldn't be a great judge anyways. It's somewhat akin to Shield, which was pretty good, but seemed to get repetitive. I wanted to add some info here as a spolier, but I couldn't figure out how to make text only visible by selecting it.
Anyways, feel free to discuss aspects of the show. White the font out if you're talking specific plotlines since I've not caught up to the current season. Hell, if you want to take this thread in a totally different direction, talk about what show you think is(are) the can't miss show(s) on TV right now.
