Art Bell is entertaining to hear when you're up late at night with nothing to do... but it's just entertainment.
One hilarious show featured this guest who is trying to start a movement to have all the housecats in the US deported to some island because he believed they were evil. The man's interest began when his fiancee's cat wouldn't warm up to him and so he decided to secretly deposit the cat many miles away on it's own. To his surprise she dumped him.
The most amazing thing is that Art Bell kept a straight act without laughing. When asked how to transport them he had a scheme that involved military aircraft and small cat-parachutes. The guest was calling from a train station on the run because he believed there were pro-cat agents out to get him and his partner ... who's also his male-lover.
I wish I could find a transcript of that show.

Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done, had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908, whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defended me, I told him that it was his duty to defend me even by using violence." - Mahatma Ghandi
