Around here, from Spring to Fall, a local speed shop has a last Friday of every month car show in their lot and it attracts cars along those lines. I love shows like that.

We're an independant auto parts store... a 4 store, family owned (not my family, though) chain. I manage the main location.
For each of the past 9 summers, we've held a customer appreciation day and invited all of the locals to bring in what they have been working on. For the past few years, I've posted a sample here.
About 35-40 of the same cars are brought in every year. But every now and then, something really unique pulls in: one year, a right-hand drive superbird re-patriated from Australia; last year a several nice t-buckets and a dragster.
This year, that primer-grey Chevy wagon that Bobby likes was a new feature: big block with a blower, suicide doors, Maltese cross mirrors, chopped and lowered, it attracted a crowd.
We grill hotdogs snd serve a couple varieties of chili, cookies, cake, soft drinks, coffee, usually the week after the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. We pass out dash plaques (it's not a competitive show) and a bunch of swag from our suppliers. We have a lot of fun
