It's probable that I've written on TFP about Sarah Harmer before, but it's been a while and she's been in my head lately, so I wanted to open a discussion about her and share experiences with other fans...
First of all, I'm very excited because I'll be going to see SH in concert at the Jubilee Theatre in Summerside, PEI on Monday September 24th... I know that's a piece away but I'm really excited about it. It'll be my first concert since I moved out here, and I can't wait. I've been a fan of SH since I first bought "You Were Here" about three years ago. She's put out two other albums since then "All Of Our Names" and "I'm A Mountain" and they're all fantastic.
Harmer is a great Canadian talent and I find that she is seriously underexposed. I don't get why she hasn't garnered a larger following. She's a brilliant song writer (won a Juno for it) and she has a beautiful voice, at least on her recordings.
So if for no other reason, I wanted to start this thread to get the word out there that Sarah Harmer is an exceptional talent and worth seeing if she comes to your town. She does pretty small venues and her music is beautiful.
So SH fans, lend me your thoughts, opinions, or questions... you can also check out
