Will do, SugahBritches.
Mister Coaster: Thanks for the honest feedback. I agree that the base on the martini glass is WAY off and needs some help. The original design had a general S curve to the shape of the glass overall, but I think it got sort of lost between initial sketches and the final drawing. I may go back in and sort out some of those problems.
I see what you're saying regarding the flame. I felt it needed better flow, but couldn't put my finger on the problem. Thanks for helping me figure that out! Also, I feel it has more volume in the top half of the flames whereas the bottom half is less successful.
I will admit, there is one little problem with the metal one (a guy at the tattoo studio pointed it out), but I'll keep quiet on what it is.
Interesting point on the balance in the crown/wings one. I think you have a very valid point. The crown was almost meant to be a small detail, almost as a way of adding some interest to the negative space between the wings, and was initially going to be very simple, but I got a bit carried away with the shading and design.
I always appreciate honest, constructive criticism. I find that I sometimes forget some of the more formal and fundamental rules of design when designing tattoo-style art, despite being a design student and having a decent sized collection of design books sitting beside me.
I'll try to get some more work posted soon, and I'll keep your comments in mind!
