They are being parcelled out to coalition governments. I suspect that bidding is still going on between companies like BHP and Halfayah.

As of April this year, the KBR part of Haliburton is being traded publicly on the NYSE. They still "employ over 30,000 men and women in Iraq. Halliburton's work in Iraq is diverse and complicated. As far as I know, Haliburton still has notm apologized about the botched food and water problems the summer of 2005. Current information is sketchy at best.

Yes and no. You see the idea is that we are rebuilding their country. The money is coming from our government in the form of debt, and it's being paid to (mostly) American corporations in exorbitant amounts.
