Oh wow - Lake Trout - good choice
I discovered 'shiny wrapper' not too long ago and enjoy it but I haven't had the chance to check out their other stuff yet.
After first hearing shiny wrapper (i don't even remember where I got it from, probably a mp3 blog) I've seen them mentioned anywhere else until now.

Although it sounds impersonal, try out pandora.com if you haven't already did so.
As for actual bands, 'summer sun' by yo la tango could work for ya, but it might be too light for you.
Also, maybe 'clinic' (they're more of the radiohead you listed maybe).
