I keep a few coins in my car for parking/newspapers/coffees.
The rest go into a giant biscotti jar from Costco. We cash it in every few months.
Around here, though, cans are the new spare change. We have a bottle bill, so every can is worth 5 cents. Sometimes it can really add up, though sometimes it's hard because you can only turn in 144 cans per day per person--which sucks when you have a lot of recycling to do.
