No (illegal) drugs for me anymore. Been there done that, still miss it.
Appreciate the compliment...

Had lunch with someone I hadn't seen in a loooong time today. Felt like a human being for the first time in a long time talking to this person. Goddamn do I miss civilized society sometimes.
New monitor yesterday. My first LCD...its ok but its no crt. Nice bright colors, but more fuzzy than I like. My ancient and trusty (8+ years old!) "Apple 20" Multiple CRT Display" was blasting a blue haze across everything. If anyone wants an old, crazy monitor and like the color blue, you can have it free, just pay for shipping hehe. Since the thing weighs about 855 pounds, this should be taken into consideration.
Can one ever run out of good music to listen to? I've been thinking lately: shit, my music collection is pretty old, it's quite varied and diverse...but its old and I've listened to it ad nauseum, so what am I going to do if I never find new music that I like as much as my old music? Is it possible that for the rest of my life I will get no more enjoyment, excitement or inspiration from music??? Have I gotten everything there is to get from every genre of music out there? Scary thought.
Well my problems have been solved, short term anyway. I've hit a rich vein! I downloaded just about every song Boards of Canada has done...some really, really nice songs. Then as I was listening to that, the sites had other groups with weird names and I tried a bunch and they rocked. Rei Harakami is astounding...holy shit. Monolake, Arovane, Tetsu Inoue...good good good. I also got some old favorties: Robby was made with Slayer's "Reign in Blood" on loop with my amped headphones at around 9 1/2....what a kick-ass album heheh. Some love (and some tylenol for the Slayer headache) from the ambient took us home on it.
Missed the annual woodward dream cruise today. All weekend. This would have been sacrilege 3-4 years ago. Getting so oooooold.
