Sorry, I have no recipe for dogs as I have 2 cats. 2 cast off kitties that were bound for cat heaven if I didn't take them in. They both eat people food seved up in a cat fashion.
I know I was skeptical about the whole food thing thinking that Spook was a fat cat because she was a house cat, however, she has lost a sizeable portion of fat and has a waist now. (Her belly used to drag on the ground and people laughed at her.)
It was the fault of the crap food.
All manufactured cat food (and dog food) is terrible terrible quality. Most pet food is made by big corporations. Big corporations are only worried about one thing, the bottom line.
The way to a bigger bottom line is to increase sales and or to decrease costs. How do you decrease cost? You buy the cheapest crud you can find.
You can buy bulk chicken and fresh veggies for a reasonable price. A can of tuna is only a few cents more than a can of crud cat food.
People have been brainwashed that processed pet foods are "meant for cats" ( or dogs)
Excuse me, but what did cats and dogs eat prior to 1890? or whenever they came out with processed pet foods?
