I was in some cooking store, like williams sonoma but not quite as posh that had knives - beautiful knives that were custom made - mostly german I think... that were 300 - 400 and 500 hundred bucks and more...
I like my trusty wustoffs personally.. the grip just feels good...
Next to my knife, my handy dandy sharpener is my next favorite gadget - i find that I cut myself much less when my knives are super sharp - so they get sharpened frequently
