Over the counter medication has no clinical studies as a rule, with the notable exception being name brand drugs (ibuprofin, etc.). For instance, there have only been 2 large-scale cough syrup studies in the past 35 years.
Drugs manufactured in Thailand could be perfectly safe and perform exactly as expected. However, given the lack of ingredients listed, it's a crap shoot. I can tell you that the going rate for product liability insurance on weightloss drugs manufactured abroad is something around $35 per $1,000 in sales. That's very, very high, which means that the insurance industry distrusts these products quite a bit.
Aspartame is a perfectly legal sugar substitute that doesn't have "pretty bad side effects" that have ever been documented. There is no study showing any pattern of side effects. If you drink Diet Coke, you should know that.

I also looked at the manufacturer's website and noticed a few things:
Quote:
During first week of IBS Diet Pills taking this is not recommended to have strong physical exercises.

Don't exercise while taking weight loss pills? That's counterintuitive.
Under "side effects":
Quote:
Faster heart beating and pulse, dizziness. Usually happens at the beginning and disappears completely after first week of course taking.

It's a stimulant of some sort. Be very, very careful.
