I don't entirely agree with this, while yes, a girl wants to get her rocks off as much as the next guy, sometimes bringing her to the brink and then cold turkey stopping - going back to kissing around, nipple play ect, often results in a much stronger orgasm when you return to the previous...task. It requires a pretty good read on your girl (this depends on your partner a lot as well) to be able to stop just shy though.
