listening to foreign radio via the net

Sometimes I like to follow sporting events (such as soccer matches) from Europe via radio broadcasts available on the net. Sometimes, however, I will get a message saying "Available to UK subscribers only" and being in Canada I cannot listen in. This is usually due to some licensing arrangement for international broadcast rights (but does not mean that a North American broadcaster is actually carrying the game, so I'm shut out).

Is there a way to fool the main broadcaster (lets say the BBC) into thinking my computer is in the UK, rather than North America, so I can listen in?
