A friend to work out with is certainly a big help for me. I push my friend to come to the gym with me, and she says a half hour on the treadmill goes a lot faster with someone to talk to. My bf has gotten to the point where he's self-motivated to go down to the gym in our apartment complex, and he's getting me down there to do cardio on my off-weights days. Pushed me on Saturday when all I wanted to do was sit around and watch TV, and I wound up burning 500 calories on the eliptical. And when he's tired from doing his weight sets, I push him to get those last few reps out. So it's all good stuff. =)
Edit: And another pound! Total of 17 so far. =)
