You can not create something out of nothing, even mental pictures. Even the most creative person pulls from their experience, perceptions and knowledge to come up with their ideas. So when you give a person the chance to create a mental picture, they will pull from their unique tool box to do it. Since we all will have different knowledge and experience to use as tools, we will end up with very different pictures.
