I actually have once, but that was when I was freelancing as a stagehand. We were pretty much glorified construction workers and all men, so it wasn't a big deal.
I did lose a bit of respect for one co-worker that night. When I was leaving towards the end of the night. He handed me his debit card and asked me to go across the street to the bank machine and withdraw $200 so he could stay longer!
The amount of money those places wring out of you is reason enough to avoid them.
Would I go now with some of my corporate co-workers? I'd have to judge the situation and guage to potential for awkward debauchery. If it was a couple of the sane ones and only for a lark, sure. I'd never go with anyone who wasn't mature enough and never, ever with the boss.
