Oh yeah, sorry about that. I meant to post again after all those other tests. Well it's offical now, no thyroid problem, no blood sugar problems, so no diabetes. And I guess he checked a bunch of other things too. I have a pretty high doctor bill now but at least I know what happened. I have been diagnosed with PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. He wanted to put me on Glucophage and the pill, but I asked my doctor to hold off on the meds at first. He said you can control the symptoms with diet and exercise. To help with the periods I did go on the pill. Amazingly after that last appointment w/ my bc prescription in hand I started. Go figure. That led me to believe that a big part of it was stress after I'd missed my first period. That was about a month ago and I'm going to be starting the week of placebo pills tomorrow so I guess we'll see if I start or not. I should though. I did have another appointment this last week with a dietician though. That helped a lot in figuring out how to help me eat a more balanced diet yet lose some weight. The good news was in the last 5 weeks or so I lost 7 pounds. Hey it's a start. That was the one thing my doctor said I had to do no matter what, lose some weight. I admit to not being the smallest woman ever. I've always been curvy but in the last 2 years I packed on a good 50 lbs that has put me at the heaviest I've ever been. My goal is to lose those 50 pounds and then maybe a few more, but as long as I get back to a size 12-14, I'll be pretty happy with that.
Thanks to everyone for reading and posting. I know the smallest things can wreak havoc with the female cycle, but I knew something wasn't right when all this was happening. Now I can adjust my life and move forward towards a newer and better me and pray to God I don't have to go on hormone meds when I decide to have a kid. I'd like one at a time please!
