Or maybe Lady Sage meant that you'd never be able to get a diverse genetic pool big enough not to avoid inbreeding down the line. Anyone know the minimum amount of people needed to start a new clean pool?
I remember something around 300 people but I think that was a made up number in some scifi (I read a lot of). If I had to personally guess, I think it would be more around 28 people, not sure why that particular number comes to mind though.
And I mean long term here, I know short term inbreeding usually doesn't have bad results.
