street collection netted $585 for fireworks. set off in the middle of our road. Combined bbq's for homemade burgers and pulled pork, lots of beer, wine, margaritas and sangria.
It's still going on (2 AM).
A couple of teenagers played Oh Canada on their electric guitars (al a Jimi Hendrix) before the fireworks. We have one neighbour from Texas, so we played the American anthem too.
