Excellent observation. My mind went to Rockwell immediately because when I am asked to picture something my first reflex is to turn to imagination and fantasy because I am a dreamer. I was born in DC and have lived almost exclusively in big cities, but my imagination went to a Mayberry scene because right now I am feeling the need to get away from here to a more peaceful life.
I would guess that whether someone picked a scene from their life or a scene from their imagination would depend on if the person used their minds eye more for pragmatism or fantasy.
