Several of the kids I worked with get lymph node swelling whenever they get an immunization or are fighting a cold. It looks horrid and only hurt after the doctor has been poking at them for 30 minutes. The placement looks right.
My lymph nodes swell frequently, but they are the ones on my neck and they hurt and make a weird grinding noise/feeling when I push on them. I've got some fat that can be unattached any time, if someone knows how to do that!
