That's interesting. I'm not sure whether my experience bears that out.
With both of the women I'm currently in love with, my first time seeing each of them was like taking a sledgehammer between the eyes. I can honestly say that I've never felt quite like that meeting anyone other than those two.
By the way, on my way back to my dorm room with my buddy, after the first time I met lurkette, I laid claim to her. "The brunette's mine," I said.
"Fine," he replied. "I'll take the blonde."
Now: was that love or lust? Hard to say. Both of them are gorgeous, but there are more attractive women in the world. In fact, there were women literally right in the same room when I met each of them who some might say were more attractive (
I wouldnt, but
some might). But I didn't go BANG with the so-called "more attractive" ones. So what does that say?
Tell the truth, I have a... let's say "love-like" reaction every time I see an attractive woman walking down the street. I'd say I fall in "love" for a moment maybe a dozen times a day. There was a waitress at a restaurant I went to last night (she didn't serve us, dammit) about whom I immediately spun out a dozen fantasies about whisking her away to somewhere exotic and making passionate love to her. Then I left the restaurant, and haven't thought about her until just now.
