I have to lend some credence to that theory. The pitch counts those to faced, and the innings they threw (especially compared to their previous workloads) were insane. I don't know if either of them were QUITE as good as some people hoped they would be some day, but I firmly believe they were seriously hurt by the way they were managed that year.
