Taking the computer out of the equation, will it feed a sheet when you hit the resume button?
I've seen a couple of those printers that were damaged by pulling the paper out after a jam. If you pull a partially fed sheet from the front instead of clearing it from the back the feed roller will bind, bend, and then have problems feeding. Horrible design but they're not meant to last.
