Older versions of IE may not allow file uploads, ie; 'attach files'. If you can, upgrade/update your IE, but an upgrade will only take if you have SP2-if you don't, you're basically screwed from getting IE7.
If you don't have it yet, get Mozilla Firefox and set it up to take TFP cookies and a password, but for those two or three who use AOL, it won't use FF, it uses IE only and no amount of coaxing will do otherwise.
