First thing I will say is if you are seriously over weight. (More then 50lbs or so) and are serious about losing weight GO TO A NUTRITIONIST. First thing. One thing I will add is go to a LICENSED nutritionist. I am talking about someone with a PHD and not someone who went to a 6 week course. Thats is step one. If you can not find a nutritionist atleast go to your doctor but a real nutritionist is better. Have them build a diet for you. Thats the biggest problem with fad diets and the thing that most people don't seem to realize. Everyone is different. Everyones body responds differntly to certain foods. I mean some are obvious. Avoid the mcdonalds. In fact scratch fast food pretty much off your list (you can still eat out sometimes but keep it under once a week) Exercise. Dosn't have to be alot. Start out with a goal of 15 minutes a day. Then after a month increase that to 30. With a main goal of an hour a day. Drink alot of water! Do not drink Pop. Keep milk,juice and alcohol consumption to a minium. Which is to say you can drink REAL juice but the stuff you buy at the store is full of sugar and flavorings. If you got anything like a juicer or even a blender then thats golden. Every meal should include atleast one fresh vegtable. Preferablly green. Don't ask me why but those green vegtables just got something going on(Carrots are a exception to that. They are great too) Watch the fat intake but also pay attention to calories and the often ignored carb. If you are a guy I would definitely say you wanna work out with weights atleast twice a week to get the look I know you want. If you are a girl I would still recommend doing atleast a little weight training. Now if only I was to follow my own advice. I would be a stud.

Edit: Oh yea, one thing thats been said by others but I want to add anyway. Do not expect instant results. The biggest thing about going on a "diet" is its not something you can go on and off. It HAS to be a lifestyle change. Completly. How can a diet work if after the diet you go right back to the hamburgers?
