not to mention that they are one of the most gentically modified foods on the market:
Quote:
The USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service surveys farmers in the United States regarding the adoption of genetically modified, or transgenic, crops every year. According to the latest survey, over half of the corn acreage in the United States is planted with biotechnology varieties. In Ohio, genetically modified corn was planted on only 18 percent of the state’s total corn acreage in 2005 – 30 percent behind Indiana, its closest competitor, and about 78 percent behind South Dakota, the top-ranked state.
GMO crops -- designed to be pest-resistant, give better yields or offer higher nutritional value -- accounted for 60 percent of global soybean area last year, 28 percent of cotton, 18 percent of canola and 14 percent of corn.
There were 21 countries that planted GMO crops last year, with the United States accounting for more than half of the total at 49.8 million hectares.

when talking about evil or unhealthy foods, i put processed and gmo foods waaay at the top of my list.
calories...eh... not so much.
but when you eat healthy, natural, and mostly raw foods... calories isn't really a concern.
i'm also vegetarian, so that limits my choices quite a bit anyways
