I think it's all about the marketing personally. In junior high and early high school I definently had that attitude of "I need chocolate now, I'm having my period, etc," because that's what I was suppsoed to think right? Once I hit college and had to pay for my own food, most extra things like chocolate were out of the budget. Honestly, I really don't miss it at all. Yes, chocolate is delicious and when I can have it it's great. But there are plenty of other things to eat, and I don't feel like I can't get through the month without a required chocolate dose.
