I'm with you on this theory, up to the point of killing AL. I think he was told, "Go get Henry back and we'll send your boy." I don't think he was brainwashed, I mean look at how scared he was. I don't think he would have said sorry and I don't think he would have been so freaked about Libby.
If it had been me, I'd have shot them both and then been so freaked out I'd have forgotten the combination. Hee!
I think AL is dead and Libby is wounded. Hurley just wasn't upset enough in the previews. Plus, it give's Michael something to worry about. "What if she wakes up and tells them?"
I couldn't shake the shock from that scene, even this morning. I guessed he'd shoot AL and free Henry, but didn't see him shooting Libby and then himself. At first, I thought he aimed the gun at his head and I was REALLY freaked.
