That's a commissioned version of the athem in Spanish. It's about 85 years old. I think that the term "tempest in a teacup" has already been accurately used to describe this "controversy". The anthem is in the public domain, so anyone changing it up in a commercial recording doesn't need to even pay royalties on it.
