American's, as a nation, have a very high opinion of themselves.
This optimism has helped put men on the moon and the hubble in orbit.
However, this same unbridled and swaggering confidence must be tempered with reality: Remember we are the same nation that gave the world "Cheez-Whiz", "TV Dinners", Oscar Fucking Mayer Weiners, and the "Corn Dog".
